What is a writeback?
A writeback is an automated entry placed in the patient medical record after a qualifying event in vRxPro®. There are several events that trigger a writeback:
- Prescription Written: When a ProScript is created in vRxPro or a Client Request is approved, a line item titled “Rx Written” will be added to the patient’s medical record indicating that a prescription has been written.
- Shipped Items: After an item has been shipped, a line item will be entered into the patient’s medical record as “Order Shipped”. This includes refills.
- Reshipped Items: When an order needs to be reshipped because an item is lost or damaged, a line item will be entered in the patient’s medical record as “Reshipped”.
How and when do different items get entered into the patient’s medical record?
Some items will be entered into the medical record more than once, the table below shows how different prescriptions and products will be displayed in the medical record.

Note: Declined Client Requests will not be entered into the medical record.
