Saving a Prescription as a Draft
To initiate a draft, follow the same process as you would to create a new prescription.
Once you select the Patient and Product to prescribe, you can add as many or as few details as you choose and then simply select Save as Draft to save the prescription without authorizing.
Accessing & Editing Saved Drafts
All drafts will be saved under Manage Drafts, which can be accessed from the left navigation menu. When first opening the Manage Drafts section, drafts will be filtered to Show Only My Items. To view ALL drafts, select Clear All.
Once a script is saved as a draft, it will be accessible for 30 days.
Any practice user can save updates to any draft, but only users with authorizing permissions can complete & authorize those drafts.
Approving Saved Drafts
To approve a draft, you must have authorizing permissions for the Authorizing Veterinarian selected. When selecting an Authorizing Veterinarian, you have the ability to choose any active veterinarian within the practice. Doctors for whom you have authorizing permissions will be displayed at the top.
If you choose a doctor for whom you have authorizing permissions, you will then be able to either Authorize or Save as Draft.
If you choose a doctor for whom you do NOT have the relevant permissions, you will only be able to Save as Draft.
