Quick Recommendations allow practice users to recommend products through vRxPro® without generating a full prescription. This can be helpful if the user does not have time to create a ProScript.
If the client purchases the product through the storefront, a Client Request will be generated in vRxPro® to complete the prescription process.
This approach reduces administrative workload, captures lost revenue from unfilled prescriptions, and keeps client purchases within the practice’s ecosystem.
Access Quick Recommendations
- Click the Quick Recommendations tile on your homepage or select Create Quick Recs from the left navigation menu.
Select Patient
Note: you can either select the patient or the product first.
- Use the search bar to locate the patient.
- Select the patient’s name.
Select Product
Note: you can either select the patient or the product first.
- Use the search bar to locate the product.
- Select the Product Name.
Review Recommendation
- Select the Size/Strength and Package Quantity from the drop-down menus.
Note: Some products, like compounded medications and diets, may have an additional Select Product field to select dose form or food type.
- Check Recommend AutoShip for products that will be used more than once, like preventatives, diets, supplements, or medications for chronic conditions.
- Select the Primary Veterinarian if desired. (this will default to the Primary Veterinarian listed on the Patient’s Profile)
- Click Send Recommendation once complete.
- The client will receive an email and an SMS message* with the product recommendation.
*Be sure to confirm with the client that the phone number listed can accept SMS messages.
Note: If the item requires additional authorization, a Client Request will be generated in vRxPro after the client places the order.
