Depending on your practice management software integration capabilities, client and patient accounts can be imported to vRxPro or manually added.
Adding clients and patients manually
Adding a client manually
- Select Client List from the left-navigation menu.
- Click Add Client from the top right corner of the Client List screen.
- Click the Add Manually tab (for practices without a practice management system integration, this will be the only option).
- Enter the client's name, email address, and phone number.
- Click Add Client to save.
Adding a patient manually
Once a client is created, you can then add patients.
First, you will need to navigate to the client's account. (if you just added the client, you can click the green success bar in the upper right corner).
To find the client's account:
- Select Client List from the left-navigation menu.
- Search for the client's first or last name, or, email address.
- Click the client's name.
From the Client Profile page:
- Locate the Patients card and click Add Patient.
- Select the Add Manually tab at the top of the Add Patient slide-out (for practices without a practice management system integration, this will be the only option).
- Complete required fields.
- Click the blue Add Patient button once complete to save.
Importing client and patient accounts
vRxPro has integrations with select Practice Information Management Systems (PIMS). If this connection is enabled, you will be able to import existing clients and patients from your PIMS.

Importing a client from your practice management software
- Select Client List from the left-navigation menu.
- Click Add Client from the top right corner of the Client List page.
- Search for the client by Last Name, First Name, or PIMS ID (Due to the volume of clients and patients stored in many practices' systems, we recommend being specific in your search).
- Click the client's name.
- Review the fields that will be imported.
- If all fields are accurate, click Save and add patients to continue to patient import, or, click Save and close if you do not need to add patients at this time.
If proceeding to add patients, you will have the opportunity to review the patient details that will be imported and resolve and conflicts.
- Review patient details and select Import [x] patients to complete the task.
Importing patients to an existing client
If the client account already exists in vRxPro and you need to import new patients, follow the steps below.
- Select Client List from the left-navigation menu.
- Search for the client's first or last name, or, email address.
- Click the client's name.
From the Client Profile page:
- Locate the Patients card and click Add Patient.
- On the Add Patients slide-out, search for the patient by client first or last name, patient name, or PIMS ID.
- Check the box(es) next the patient's name(s) you wish to import and click Review patient info.
- Review patient details and click Import [X] patients to add the patients to vRxPro.
